Internet Download Manager is one of the most famous programs that allows you to download files from the Internet, in other words, this is a download manager. So, almost each of us is faced with the need to download some kind of file, because many of us are interested in programs, music, videos, someone is looking for documents, there is no difference, we all have one thing in common, we need to download information. Some do this by trusting their browser, because it’s no secret that you can download files using it, and some use download managers for this, Internet Download Manager is one of them, I use this program myself and I advise you, it’s quite satisfactory, you can download it for free a little lower.

After installing and launching the application, you will see a completely clear window with a pleasant user interface. In it you can see a list of all downloaded files or files that are still being downloaded. The top panel gives us access to the most important manager functions in the form of icons. You can add a new download, start a paused download, clear the list, go to settings, set up a schedule, launch a site grabber, and so on.

  The latest version of IDM supports Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. IDM works with all versions of these systems including 64-bit versions.

  Also IDM has stopped supporting Windows XP and Windows Vista. IDM stop supporting them because some functionality required in IDM to support changes in modern browsers, new authorization methods etc are not available on old operating systems. The latest version supporting Windows XP and Windows Vista is version 6.41 build 2 from May 31, 2022.

IDM has an automatic update option, and IDM can check for the availability of a new version once per week. Once a new version becomes available, IDM will show a dialog that describes all new features and suggests updating your current version. You may also check for updates manually at any time using "Help→Check for updates..." IDM main menu item.
